Cavs Comedy Club. An alternative space, but not necessarily for alternative comedy. Monthly standup night in Caius Bar. Your monthly embrace of the margins, if you like.

Lurching out of a dark bar deep within the ivory tower, CAVS Comedy Club is Cambridge's newest and most unique night. Started by three friends seeking more variety to the Cambridge circuit, booking great comedians from all round the country and not the same acts each week, focusing on standup with a DIY ethos or genuinely original way of making people laugh.

Pleased to announce that we are now a registered college society; it was unanimously voted through last night. This means we'll have a proper budget for the first time, so expect bigger headliners and a wider selection of exciting new acts.

That was fu***ng amazing. Everyone loved it despite the technical hitches. Massive thanks to Sean Bennett, Josh Bunting, Tony Harries, Ken Cheng and our very own Chris Page, and of course to the man himself for an awesome show. Next Cavs will be in the New Year so keep a look out.
