Diversity Day by the Cambridge Ethnic Community Forum !! Indeed it was, sharing the stage with other ethnic groups and beautiful performances..

I am terrified of speaking in public !! I guess the anxiety to get on stage to dance is largely taken over by the anxiety to introduce the piece. And I heavily depend on my hands to help me articulate 🙅‍♀️🙆‍♀️💁‍♀️🙋‍♀️🧏‍♀️🤷‍♀️😀..is that an Indian thing or a dancer thing 🤔

It was so satisfying teaching these dolls for the . An apt song for the occasion by the legend ..They looked so beautiful in their new costumes 😍

A beautiful evening spent at the Chesterton Disabled Club. and performed a jatiswaram, Thillana and a Kriti giving them a flavour of the features of Bharatnatyam.

There was a blind lady who came to us to feel our costumes and jewellery. When you think about it, we are so blessed and that is what keeps the Arts and artists going. At the end of the day both the dancers and audience departed with a full heart and happy face 🧡

Proud day today where my girls competed bravely at the UUKMA East Anglia Regional Kalamela. Inaugurated their new costumes too 😍.. this is how we start our Diwali 2022 🎊

Our online Vijayadashami meet up. I love these informal sessions once in a while. Just helps us relax and talk about 'non-dance stuff'.

Yesterday we talked about the speciality of the day, vijayadashami being victory over evil, topic then was about evils, ofcourse Ravana had to be mentioned. Danced to a Saraswathy shlokam and ofcourse the highlight was the showcase of their million other talents. We got to see budding musicians, artists, magicians and poets..

So proud of my goddesses..May goddess Saraswathy bless them to attain all their dreams ❤ 🙏🏽
