Sadly the trains aren't running this Sunday (and you can't fit a double bass on a rail replacement bus!) so we have to postpone this month's GJS :(

Thanks to everyone who bought tickets - they'll be refunded. Immy will hopefully be back later in the summer.

Currently looking into whether it's possible to get another band in on Sunday, so please keep your eyes peeled for both that and also details about the next one on June 28th!

On Sunday 26th April we'll be presenting the Evans/Diamand Trio with .evans and !!

Formed in 2022 after meeting at the Royal Academy of Music, the Evans/Diamand trio brings together Leeds-born brothers Jonah and Toby Evans, on drums and guitar respectively, and electric bassist Chris Diamand.

While rooted in a contemporary jazz sense of melody and harmony, the band's original compositions are presented through a lens tinted by blues and alt-rock influences, resulting in a unique sound defined by impressionistic drumming and layered chordal textures from the guitar and bass.

Usual time, usual place :)

The big reveal - hyped to announce .music will be joining us on Sunday, along with the talented .plays.drums on the drums and holding it down on the bass.

We'll be playing traditional and contemporary standards drawing from the jazz tradition (a.k.a. music promoter doublespeak for Nice Tunes That Everyone Will Like) - should be a fun night!!
