The ADC Theatre is the liveliest theatre in Cambridge, presenting a vibrant programme of drama, music and comedy. We are a department of the University of Cambridge, and are the oldest University playhouse in the country. The ADC is the centre of University drama in Cambridge, run almost entirely by students with no Faculty involvement. We aim to provide opportunities to experience and learn about

all aspects of theatre, while presenting professional standard productions. The ADC Theatre has helped to launch the careers of many theatre luminaries, including Sir Ian McKellen, Rachel Weisz and Emma Thompson.

It's new banner day at the ADC Theatre! 🤩

And what a beautiful banner it is for this year's CUADC/Footlights Pantomime, Cinderella. Don't worry, you've got plenty of time to admire it, as it'll be up on the building from now until December!

You won't have quite as much time to get yourself to the ball this Christmas though, with tickets already selling fast to this year's festive fix of fun, fantasy and fits of laughter.

Be sure to get yours before they all turn back into pumpkins!

Comedy, farce, drama - the Cambridge Festival of Drama provides an opportunity to see the best of local amateur drama presenting a wide variety of plays in a mix of new writing and established pieces.

Each session features two or three short plays, followed by comment and evaluation by a professional drama adjudicator – with the added frisson of a competitive element!

There’s plenty of opportunity between plays to meet friends in the bar and talk over what you’ve seen – will you agree with the adjudicator, or not? Will you pick this year’s winner?

Britain, 1970. What is power? Who has it? For how long?

Liesl rules her family and decides who does what: daughter Sally is to study medicine, husband Roger is to stand for Parliament (even if backbenchers don’t have the power she thinks they have) where he will stop the strikes and power cuts plunging the country into darkness. But Liesl is wanted by the West German government as a suspected war criminal.

Is it a case of mistaken identity? Or can one person be two people? Will the past rob her of her power in the present?

Loss of Power is a new play by Sean Lang.
