We were glad to return to Addenbrooke's Hospital again in April with CUH Arts, performing Tree of Life. in the main foyer, and again on one of the wards.

One Dad of a teenage patient said that they were about to drive off home after a long day at the hospital and just happened to see the dancers. So they decided to stay back to watch for a few minutes but ended up staying back for the whole show. He said this was an unexpected treat for them, and their drive home would be a happy one!

It was good to be back - thank you CUH-Arts for having us.

Looking forward to bringing Tree of Life to children and families in and around Croydon this July!! πŸŒ³πŸ’ƒ

Aranyani, Goddess of forests and the wild, is dying. Without Aranyani, the plants and animals that she supports will suffer. Can our Scientist work out how to save her?

Tree of Life is a children’s dance theatre show, suitable for children aged 7+. Drawing inspiration from Buddha attaining enlightenment under a Bodhi (fig) tree in India and Newton discovering gravity from an apple tree in the UK, Tree of Life weaves a tale of how these two events lead to a deepening of human understanding of our natural world, spiritually and scientifically.

🎟️ We'll be at Stanley Arts for the Croydonites Festival of New Theatre Fringe on Sunday 5 July. Check out the line-up and book your tickets now via https://www.croydonites.com/programme/sanskruti-dance

We're excited to be returning to Croydon this summer with Tree of Life for the Croydonites Fringe!

Aranyani, Goddess of forests and the wild, is dying. To recover – and for the plants and animals that she supports to thrive – she needs nourishment and balance in the world. It is down to a spiritual Sage and a Scientist – and you, the audience – to discover how to save her.

🎟️ We'll be at Stanley Arts on Sunday 5 July. Check out the Croydonites Festival of New Theatre line-up and book your tickets now: https://www.croydonites.com/programme/sanskruti-dance

Memories from last Saturday's Strawberry Fair at Cambridge's Midsummer Common. Enthralled to be part of the fair's 51st anniversary celebrations with our young performers and their families. πŸ“

Truly admire our youngest Bharatanatyam and Bollywood dance students who stayed committed to their dance and continued dancing whether it was on grass or on stage, rain or sunshine, small or large space. I look forward to watching them grow with confidence and grace πŸ’–

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers and the organisers of the Strawberry Fair, our wonderful parents and our little young dancers for creating these beautiful memories πŸ“πŸ’–

Happy !

Our show Tree of Life tells the story of Aranyani, the goddess of forests and the wild, who is dying. She needs care and protection if the plants, animals and people that depend on her are to thrive.

This story is the story of our planet. We all have power to make changes and protect this place we call home.

Every voice matters. Every move counts. Together, let’s act for this generation and the next.

As we resume our second half of our summer term of classes this week, here is a warm and hearty welcome to our second cohort of Teacher Apprentices. Congratulations Aksh*taa, Esha and Saisha and wishing them all the best as they strive to bring fresh perspectives for Sanskruti.

Our Teacher Apprentice role is a two-step selection process where our senior dance students are welcome to submit a written application followed by an interview. The process allows young dancers to gain experience in thinking about their art form and what it means to them beyond a classroom setting.

You can read more about these young teacher apprentices and their vision for their dance school one our dance school website: https://www.sanskruti.org.uk/teachers-apprentices/
