The Bank Holiday festivals are now over, costing around £450–£750 per person. This coming weekend would have been the traditional three days of LodeStar Festival.
LodeStar tickets ranged between £35 and £85 for three days with camping. And having a strong ethos of supporting charities, youth groups and individuals, whilst giving people a great experience. At LodeStar, you could see the eyes of the performers, with acres of fine lawn stretched out behind you. Festival-goers didn't drop much litter and truly enjoyed every act performing. We had chilled Aspalls cider and Calvors Premium English Pilsner at just £3.50 a pint, and varied food stalls that were better than most restaurants. LodeStar even won the UK Festival Award for BEST TOILETS!
What attracts you to a festival? Does it matter to you to have boutique festivals where you can discover great artists? So often, these talents are discarded and lost due to the hyped concentration of the 1% of artists promoted to you via every radio, television, and stadium.
