Sweeney Todd is back in London. After being sent away by the lustful judge Turpin to prison, Sweeney returns to his native London with only one thing on his mind: revenge. His path quickly crosses with Mrs Lovett, a pie shop owner who falls in love with Sweeney.
Mrs Lovett recognises Sweeney and they quickly create a mutually beneficial relationship; Sweeney practises his murderous ways in his barber shop and Mrs Lovett turns the bodies into pies. Yet Sweeney is still focused on revenge, and his path soon crosses with the Judge who sent him away. Only horror can ensue...
The understudies for Mrs Lovett, Johanna, Toby and Beadle will be on for the matinee performances on Saturday 16 and Thursday 21 March, for which there will be a reduced ensemble.
