Music is a powerful force. It can be incredibly moving and inspiring - but it also connects people in ways little else can.
That's why musicians of International Residential Orchestral Days (IROD) are creating and using this force to present a unique, one-time event in April 2024 featuring chamber and symphonic music performed by an orchestra of talented and diverse musicians from all around the world.
Our global musicians firmly believe that music has the power to transcend international boundaries and bring people closer to each other.
They are coming to Cambridge from their home nations to share their passion with their audience and fellow musicians. We would love for you to join them.
They will perform music by Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Mozart, Dvorak - and more. Our central focus is on the music of Debussy, with specialist input from Scholar and Pianist Roy Howat, Honorary Fellow of Jesus College, who will be presenting a lecture and recital.
This was inspired by a similar event held in 2022, in Kerkrade, Netherlands.
