I’m stepping well outside my usual musical world with this recommendation! My daughter Lana records as Something Elsie and has just released her second album, Blue Blooded — 12 tracks of female-fronted rock-pop and alt-pop.

She has put everything she had into making it, with no promotional budget left afterwards, so I’m doing my slightly out-of-her-depth mum bit and helping her find people who might genuinely enjoy it.
