As the warm weather returns to Cambridge this weekend, it's the perfect time for a visit. Claire Turner beautifully conveys the charm of punting on the river, gliding across the water as the city's most famous landmarks drift past like works of art in an open-air gallery.
In the gallery now 'Images of Cambridge: King’s Bridge and Beyond, Spring Flowers', Silk and Stitch, 43 x 43cm, £425

For science and art lovers!
Delve into the science behind the cover with these playful, clever, and intricately crafted works by Alison Pullen. Through vibrant collage, each piece draws you into its subject matter, with imagery that eruts, meanders, and unfolds across the book, inviting closer exploration at every turn.

A delightful fusion of art and discovery.

Inspired by Lord Byron and his time at Trinity College Cambridge, this work combines Cambridge’s café culture with a literary influence.

The aged books, complete with their worn textures and imperfections, contrast beautifully with the bright enamel teapot, whose colour and shine bring warmth and balance to the composition.

An imposing building steeped in history is transformed into a mystical sanctuary for exotic animals in oils by Christopher Thompson.

Newnham Grange inspired this painting. The grand Georgian house was once the home of George Darwin, the second son of Charles Darwin. Since 1964, the property has formed part of Darwin College, adding another chapter to its rich and fascinating legacy.

New Artist to the Gallery This Month!

We are delighted to welcome ceramicist Brigit Pohl to the gallery.

Brigit is a London-based studio potter creating wheel-thrown and hand-decorated porcelain vessels. The inspiration for her elegant forms comes largely from the objects that filled her family home in Germany, where she grew up. Her distinctive surface decorations evolve from automatic drawings and sketchbook studies, bringing together a variety of influences in a uniquely personal style.

Beautifully smooth, with clean lines and thoughtful decoration, these porcelain pieces are both practical and stylish, making them a wonderful addition to any home.
