Cambridge Open Studios Visit artists in their home and studios across four July weekends: 4–5 | 11–12 | 18–19 | 25–26 July 2026.

Cambridge Open Studios is a community of nearly 500 artists across Cambridgeshire. Cambridge Open Studios exists to promote the making of original works of art and craft and to provide an opportunity for the public to become involved in the arts by meeting artists in their studios, seeing their work and how it is produced.

With artists, makers and galleries spread across the city, the Ely Art Trail offers a wonderful opportunity to spend a day exploring another of Cambridgeshire’s distinctive creative destinations.

From jewellery, glass and ceramics to sculpture, painting, mixed media and light art, this trail showcases an exciting variety of work, all within easy reach of Ely’s historic streets and waterside setting.

Sculpture at Cambridge Open Studios 2026

Sculptors taking part in COS 2026 are working across a fascinating range of materials, techniques and settings.

Colleen McLaughlin Barlow's garden studio will feature design drawings, paintings, models and desktop-sized cast lead crystal sculptures. Peter Miller will be exhibiting sculpture in a variety of media, while Richard Bray's wood sculptures can be seen in a solo exhibition at Wolfson College, where his work is displayed amongst the beautiful gardens and architecture, as well as in the ArtSpace 5–7 group exhibition in Portugal Place, Cambridge.

Ian Vance will be exhibiting sculpture and ceramics in a magnificent country garden setting, with sculptures surrounding a working studio producing pottery and pieces for both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Entry is free at all studios, as is the App, which is the easiest way to plan your artistic day out.

What a wonderful evening to launch Cambridge Open Studios 2026.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Marleigh Park to celebrate the start of this year's event, and to our hosts, The Hill Group, for their generous support and warm hospitality.

The evening offered a preview of the creativity visitors will discover across Cambridgeshire this July, with artwork from participating artists on display and an opportunity to meet some of the artists taking part this year.
