It's taken us a long time to get around to letting you all know officially - call it an extended Denial Phase of the Grief Cycle (or possibly life getting super unpleasant in swift succession for various members of the core team at H&T Cambridge) - anyway, this is us bidding farewell, nearly 15 years after our first outing, upstairs at the Boathouse in Autumn 2009. We made some fabulous friends, brought poetry to a WIDE variety of venues across central Cambridge, and provided a stepping stone for some of the city's most exciting poets to wider audiences on a broader platform.
There are too many people to thank, and loads of them aren't on Facebook anyway, but to all our headliners, support acts, slammers, audiences, venues, front of house, supporters, hosts, hecklers, and randoms wandering in and getting very confused about proceedings, we say thank you and goodnight. We couldn't have done it without you.
Keep writing and reciting; reading, listening, and learning. With much love,
Hammer & Tongue Cambridge
