Listen! returns on 7th November, presenting a brand new trio featuring three of our very favourite musicians!

Drawing on the evocative edge of Nordic landscapes, bodily freedom and peace of mind, Rebecka Edlund, Laura Jurd and Ruth Goller (Goth Ruler) will perform music from Rebecka's upcoming debut release Virgin Forest.

The album is a vulnerable and empowering portrayal of a girl finding her way to womanhood, reflecting upon the synergy between how we treat the home we have in nature and the one we carry within.

Our spring series reaches its finale on 16th May, when Adam Fairhall (piano) and Johnny Hunter Music (snare drum) make their long-awaited return to the intimate surroundings of Cambridge Unitarian Church.

These stalwarts of Manchester's creative music scene will be lovingly exploring the musical legacy of 'the first lady of jazz', Mary Lou Williams, through their avant-garde lens.

'The joyous renditions of Williams' material are clearly full of affection as the pair deconstruct, fragment and even totally abandon them. Ultimately, the merry confluence of jaunty swinging grooves and spirited digressions into the weeds enriches both!
