We are very excited to bring to you the termcard for Michaelmas’s Post-Formal Informal Recital Series!!

The first recital is tomorrow (Tuesday 18th), and is a great chance to come and see some of the new talent at Medwards.

Also please note the change of venue for the Halloween Karaoke - we’ll be in the bar! 🎃

Hi MEMberS, we hope you’ve enjoyed your summers! MEMS is excited to launch the sign up for our ‘Post-formal Informal Recital Series’ which proved to be very successful last year.

They will continue to be at 9pm every Tuesday throughout term in the FDR, lasting about 30 minutes, and are followed by a wine reception. All members of the university are welcome to sign up. The link is also in our bio.

Updates to the post-formal informal concert schedule!!

There are still some wonderful events to come this term, including a new event on 23rd May! Sadly the Klezmer Ensemble (previously on the 6th June) has been cancelled.

All events are at 9pm in the FRD, and are free and open to all. Plus refreshments provided - see you there!

Hi everyone, I’m Ruth and with Sophie I look after the publicity of the society! I am a second year Classicist at Medwards, and I play piano and cello. At the moment I’m working on my piano diploma, and you might have seen me in the college recitals which I love to play at! For the last two terms I have been The Tab’s poetry editor, but am now retiring to write some more poetry of my own and to help out with all things music at Medwards 😊

Hi! I’m Sophie and I’m one of the mems publicity officers (alongside the wonderful Ruth!). I’m a second year geographer and I love all things music on the side - I’ve been a part of inter alios since joining medwards and it’s been a great experience and a fun way to get to know other musical people in college. I also play the flute and have enjoyed being part of more events in college like recitals! ❤️

Hi! I’m Megan and I’m so excited to be joint social sec with my bestie Ellie! I’m a second year linguistics student and am primarily a singer! Having got my grade 8 recently, I’m planning on working towards a diploma after my undergrad. I also used to play flute at grade 6 level and am starting to pick it up again slowly. I’ve done a lot within Cambridge theatre, as well as being in one of Cambridge’s leading a capella groups, where I have been social sec for the last year. I’ve also done a couple of recitals at Medwards with Ellie and between the two of us there’s always singing to be heard somewhere in college! I’m so so excited to be part of the team to revitalise MEMS and can’t wait to get started! ✨
