This past few weeks of making, teaching and enjoying clay 🧡
I’m excited to have more time to make pots in the coming months !
I ran an afternoon nerikomi beginner workshop a few weekends ago which was so much fun and I can’t wait to explore this technique further in my own work and for teaching ideas. I attended a 4-day nerikomi in depth course at the beginning of May which I will do a post about once I’ve fired all my pieces from the week ! It’s lit a nerikomi fire 🔥 !
I’m also suuuper pleased with this large porcelain jug I threw, it’s the biggest one I’ve made and looked rather striking against my black and white square pattern vase ▪️🔲◼️🔲▪️🔲▪️🔲▪️🔲▪️◻️

Swipe towards the end to see it before the firing. Slab built in stoneware and painted in slips and underglaze at the leather hard stage. I loved painting this- I will be incorporating more butterfly designs into future pieces 😍
