Meet Lizzie Deane ✨

Singer, vocal coach and choir director Lizzie is bringing her soulful sound and infectious energy to Cambridge Contemporary Choir Festival this July.

Lizzie leads several choirs including Choral Nova, The Hawkstone Farmers Choir and The Collaboration Choir, and is known for creating uplifting, welcoming singing experiences that make everyone feel part of the room.

At this year’s festival she’ll be leading our Saturday Gospel Workshop 🙌 and performing as part of the brand new BIG BIG Collab Friday night live band experience 🎤

Expect big vocals, feel-good harmonies and plenty of energy.

Introducing Rachel Hill Music ✨

Singer-songwriter, vocal coach and choir director Rachel Hill will be leading our Family Pop Workshop at Cambridge Contemporary Choir Festival this July.

Known for her warm, welcoming approach and infectious energy, Rachel creates singing experiences that are all about confidence, creativity and fun — making this the perfect introduction to the festival for younger singers and their grown ups.

Expect feel-good pop songs, lots of encouragement and a completely pressure-free atmosphere where everyone can join in 🎤

Introducing Helen Lappert ✨

Highly accomplished choir director and performer Helen Lappert is bringing her incredible energy and expertise to Cambridge Contemporary Choir Festival this July.

Helen directs acclaimed ensembles including Amersham A Ca****la, Strictly A Ca****la and Frisson, and has performed and competed internationally as part of her vocal career.

She’ll be leading our Saturday A Ca****la Workshop — an uplifting session full of rich harmonies, feel-good energy and powerful group singing.

Whether you’re completely new to a ca****la or already love harmony-led music, this workshop is designed to leave you feeling energised, inspired and wanting more 🎶

This is a little glimpse behind the scenes from the last Cambridge Contemporary Choir Festival — and the magic that happens before the audience even takes their seats.

What we love most about this festival is that it’s not just about the final performance. It’s about the people, the energy backstage, the friendships and those shared “we’re really doing this” moments.
