Are you an actor and/or instrumentalist and/or singer? Then come audition to be part of Jack & Master: Third Time Lucky, this time IN PERSON!

The show is going to be a low-commitment, relaxed but super fun chance to share your many many talents with an audience and is a great opportunity for freshers to try Cambridge Theatre on for size in a chill, supportive environment. We’re looking for a cast of 12-16 lovely actors/musos/singers so get your auditions in to Emily (erb61) by next **Friday 15th October**!!

Are you an actor who plays an instrument, a musician who acts or somewhere in between the two?? Then come audition to be part of the Fitz Theatre showcase with Jack & Master, Cambridge’s new actor-musician ensemble!

This open-mic/cabaret style showcase is going to be a low-commitment but super fun chance to show off your many many talents LIVE to a socially-distanced audience and is a great opportunity for freshers to try Cambridge Theatre on for size in a relaxed and supportive environment. We’re looking for a cast of 8-12 lovely actor-musos so get your auditions in to me (erb61) by next **Wednesday 21st October**!!

Hello and welcome to a new term of actor-musician magic!

We're Jack & Master, an actor-musician ensemble based at Fitz run by Emily Beck (she/her, erb61), and we want to make theatre that is joyful, organic and playful, using acting and music not to compete with but to inform and develop one another.

We are super keen to get lots of freshers involved with the ensemble this term and looking forwards - most imminently, we are co-running a showcase event with Fitz Musical Theatre which we'll be auditioning for very soon!

WORKSHOP AND AUDITION OPPORTUNITIES

We’ve got a busy week coming up with J&M! On Thursday and Saturday we’re running auditions for the core cast of our Scratch Night, followed by a workshop with Rose Bruford’s Jeremy Harrison on Sunday. We’d like to recommend the workshop to anyone auditioning as a great intro to the actor-musician work the show will involve, as well as encouraging people who have attended one of our previous workshops to audition for the show. Either way, we’re very excited to meet lots of new actor-musician talent this week!

Thanks so much to everyone who came along to our second workshop - it was very exciting to see you all exploring the capabilities of your instruments! Our next workshop is going to be led by Jeremy Harrison from Rose Bruford College. This is a very exciting opportunity for participants to work with a professional practitioner with a wealth of experience in actor-musician work, so keep an eye out for more information - we will be opening applications for this workshop very soon!
