Announcing Elektra Phoresis for our return on Friday 3 July ♥️⚡️.

Elektra Phoresis is the Le***an Pop Princess of Cambridge. Known to combine both drag and burlesque performance styles, this diva always brings something cute, fun, and sexy to every stage she graces.

After a brief orbital pause, Club Urania is returning to Earth. Join us as we splash down for a new era of otherworldly q***r performance and dance. We are moving to the amazing Junction2 space at Cambridge Junction and we just cannot wait.

Introducing our new crew! 🪐🚀

We’re about to return to earth while building a refreshed Club Urania, also based on your feedback (we’ll get back to that!). We’ve assembled a team of absolute legends, all bringing fresh energy and ideas to mission control. 

Guillotina is Cambridge’s reigning drag performer of chaos and winner of the Norwich Drag Pageant 2026. As the creator of the Cambridge Is Chopped movement, they work to make Urania the most diverse and high-energy show possible.

Fen is radio producer and broadcaster who spins global grooves on Cambridge Radio every week. Since moving here three years ago, she’s fallen in love with the local q***r arts scene and can’t wait to see you on the dancefloor.

Farai is multidisciplinary artist, screenwriter, and producer whose work explores racial politics and intimacy. As a co-host, Farai sees nightlife as an essential space for the uninhibited celebration of q***r artistry.

Eva is a writer and researcher interested in q***r archives and working-class poetry. A Cambridge resident for ten years, they are excited to keep bringing all things weird and wonderful to our community.

Celia is a Club Urania founder who has hosted since its birth four years ago. A Cambridgeshire native, she’s passionate about experimental arts and is known for her sometimes glamorous, sometimes scandalous stage presence.

Roeland is a founder and prominent voice in the local q***r community (some call him Q***r Daddy Cambridge). He’s been involved with dance, performance, and art events since the early 90s, first in The Netherlands, now in Cambridge.

Club Urania is a Cambridge based q***r arts initiative, creating q***r performance, music and community space.

Over the past four years, Club Urania has grown organically into the otherworldly q***r performance and dance events that are loved by both our community and our performers. A big thanks to all of you!

We’re pausing our events at Cambridge Junction for a few months to become more sustainable, more intentional, and even more supportive of artists and community. We’re working on fewer, better-resourced and more inclusive events, including new collaborations, with clearer structures and space for creative risk.

And we really want to hear from you! What works? What doesn’t? What do you want Urania to be in 2026 and beyond?

We’re very excited to announce DJ Boss Lady’s return to Club Urania ( ) this Friday 21 November. Last few tickets via link in bio, don’t wait too long.

DJ Bosslady is a multi genre DJ who means business. She will take you on a journey of bass heavy rhythms and global beats, moving from British born rave music to big, heavy Latin beats to raw Afro sounds.

Her selections and technical skills deliver a full sonic experience that not only guides you through her world of sound but makes you never want to leave the dance floor.

You may have seen this sapphic seductress performing across the Cambridge drag scene, gracing the stages of Dragtime! and Comfort Zone with her signature draglesque style and glimmering costumes. Now Elektra Phoresis .phoresis is making her debut at Club Urania, ready to mesmerise you with her feather fan dancing!

We’re very excited for our main performance this Friday 21 November, brought to us by Blue Blackley. Tickets via link in bio, don’t wait too long.

Blue Blackley .ldn is an anti-disciplinary artist playing with archives through sound, mosaic and performance. Blue meets the archive as a playground full of grief, gossip and toolkits for world building in the present. Their most recent body of workshops involves a series of intuitive choral meditations, based on the work of Alexis Pauline Gumbs’ ‘Dub’.

For November’s Club Urania, Blue will host a live table reading of Sin D***s by Valerie Mason-John. Sin D***s is an audacious exploration of Black le***an desire, power, and intimacy within 1990s B**M subcultures. This reading (with 7 performers) opens space for reflection on liberatory dramaturgy, the utility of the archive and theatre as process.  

Trigger warnings: Racism, In*******al Relationships, Race Play, Slavery, Apartheid, S*x work.

The reading is supported by .arts.centre and and is part of the curation by Samra Mayanja .

Back after a mesmerising performance at a previous Urania: Bradley Martin (for this Friday - the 21st of November). Tickets via link in bio, don’t wait too long 😊.

Bradley is a singer-songwriter new to Cambridge, drawing inspiration from the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Adrianne Lenker and The Tallest Man on Earth.

He writes songs that touch on themes of q***rness, grief and love and everything in between.
