IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Today we have some sad news to bring you. We are afraid to say that we, like several other events in current times, have had to make the difficult decision to cancel The Summer Send-Off.
All ticket holders will be refunded - this will happen automatically for everyone including those from pre-covid (funds will take up to week to show in your bank).
The original afterparty at The ARK, Newmarket WILL still go ahead with special guests! - Everyone who has bought a ticket to the festival will get FREE ENTRY before 11pm (just show your ticket at the door). Venue opens at 9pm with a happy hour on all drinks!
There are several contributing factors to why this decision has been taken - huge rises in running costs, added conditions and it’s no secret that many events are struggling to move tickets at the moment and although the online interest for SSO has been very positive, we have had numerous messages from people who would like to come, but just can’t make the date for a variety of reasons. We know the interest is there and this would be a popular event but we have hung on as long as we could in the hope there would be an uptake in pre-tickets sold as we do not want to cut corners and deliver a half-hearted event, but we without the confidence in advance sales the numbers simply do not stack up.
With the amount of planning and infrastructure already in place and 100s of hours of work already invested we can assure you that we are as disappointed as the rest of you and will be working tirelessly on bringing the event to you in 2023!
This is a head-over-heart decision for sure... We are a small business with livelihoods and families to consider too and a decision not taken lightly.
We want to thank everyone involved, artists, traders, staff, and suppliers who have supported the situation and working with us to return in better times; a special thank you to those who bought advance tickets and those who hung on to their pre-covid tickets (we will send you a special offer to when we return!)
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope you understand our difficult decision.
