Tonight's Cara Dillon gig is a SELL OUT - but next Saturday you can look forward to this wonderful evening!

Alan Dall and the Sea of Stories brings together storyteller and musician Mike O'Connor OBE (you'll know his music from Poldark) and harpist and storyteller Barbara Griggs, both bards of Gorsedh Kernow and both accomplished offshore sailors themselves.

Their stories are set on the sea, in the sea, and beside the sea, woven through with harp, violin and concertina. Expect adventure, drama and a bit of magic, with the audience always brought safely home in the end.

This is the same pair behind Return to Lyonesse (winner of a British Award for Storytelling Excellence) and the acclaimed Odysseus Dreaming.

Seventeen women. One mountain. No more silence.

We're screening Cloudline: Where Women Rise on Thursday, 16 July - a raw, breathtaking documentary following seventeen trekkers as they take on Kilimanjaro. More than half of them live with childbirth injuries or ostomy bags, and they climbed not just to reach the summit, but to leave the shame attached to those conditions behind them.

It's a film about sisterhood, resilience and refusing to be defined by what your body has been through. This is one not to miss.

All ticket revenue goes to Chameleon Buddies, supporting women in the UK and Kenya living with stoma surgery or childbirth injury.

We’re lucky to live somewhere as beautiful as Calstock.

But rural life in Cornwall, for all its charm, can also be quietly isolating. Distances between villages are real, winters are long, and people can go days, or longer, without much meaningful social contact, especially older residents and those who’ve moved here without established networks.

Academic research is increasingly validating music’s therapeutic benefits, while consumers are actively incorporating music into their wellness routines. Have a read of our latest blog post and let us know your thoughts....

The connection between live music for wellbeing is compelling. Music strengthens social bondsm reduces anxiety levels and provides a vital link for people in isolated communities like Cornwall

We're thrilled to welcome Robin Ince to the Old Chapel on Friday 19th June for an evening that's funny, heartfelt, fiercely human and like nothing else you'll see in the Tamar Valley this summer.

Robin is the comedian, author and broadcaster the Guardian once called a 'becardiganed polymath', and that really does sum him up. Best known as co-host of the BBC Radio 4 phenomenon 'The Infinite Monkey Cage' with Professor Brian Cox, he's also a multi-award-winning stand-up, a Waterstones Pick of the Year and someone who writes and talks about the world with a rare blend of wit, warmth and proper depth.

His show, Let the Quiet Ones Rise, is about standing up and standing out. Mixing comedy and poetry, it draws on themes of loneliness, love, activism and what it means to be a bit different in a world that doesn't always know what to do with you. It's sharp, it's moving, and it's very, very funny.

✨ We're Hiring! ✨

We're looking for a Hire Co-ordinator to join the team here at Calstock Arts.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who loves bringing people together and has a flair for events, marketing, and client relationships.

You'll be the face of Calstock Arts for weddings, private hires, and commercial bookings, helping new clients discover what makes this place so special, and making sure every event runs beautifully from first enquiry to the big day itself

We're looking for someone with experience in venue hire or event planning, strong communication and marketing skills, and the kind of get-it-done attitude that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. A love of the local area and an interest in the arts would go a long way too.

To apply, send your CV and a covering letter to [email protected] by Sunday 22nd June.

For a chat about the role, give Debbie a ring on 07949 242239.

Interviews will take place at the end of June/early July.
