This Friday sees our annual darts match take place. If you fancy your chances and want a handsome cup to grace your mantelpiece then come along at 7.30 and try your luck. You don't need to be a club member - everyone is welcome!

Bar refurb is under way so the club is closed for now. Our winter programme of event will start late September if all the work is complete so watch this space for announcements!

Well, it's Duck Day tomorrow! We have a full programme planned so all we need now is for the sun to shine! The gates will be open at 2.30pm, live music with Johnny Mac from 3pm til 5, a fun dog show at 3.30, children's games, children's obstacle course, cream teas, cakes, BBQ, Bar and of corse the Duck Race at 6pm. This will be followed by a sumptuous feast of curry starting at 7pm accompanied by the fabulous Dave Seccombe Band until about 9.30. If the evening is warm and dry (I'm ever hopeful!) the bar will be open u til 11pm. We look forward to welcoming you all to Byenleigh!

Pumpkins, spiders, witches hats and broomsticks! Halloween is here and we are celebrating in true spooky style with our first ever Halloween party. Everyone is welcome, including the smallest trick-or-treater! Dress up if you like, bring a plate of nibbles and join in the fun!

Now we have all had a good rest and recovered from the exertions of Duck Day and Skittles, it's time to get going again with our Winter Programme. October 10th sees our opening quiz - teams of three, or at a pinch, four - will start at 8pm. Turn up early if you want to bag your favorite table! Then on the 17th there will once again be a chance to win big prizes with Cash Bingo! The 24th sees us all gathering for the AGM. Please turn up to vote for next year's committee, or perhaps you would like to offer your help. Everyone is always welcome!

Just a quick reminder that this Friday (21st March) is the Club's Annual Audrey Pellow Darts Night. For those of you who didn't know, Audrey was the captain of the Luckett Ladies Darts team for many a year and also did a lot to help the Club keep going in the early years. So each year we hold a darts competition in her memory. The competition is open to any Club member however good or indifferent. Most of us only play once every 12 months, so as long you can hit the board you are in. It always a good fun night, with trophies for the winner and runner up. This year as the number of entries is low at the moment (although it's still not to late to enter) rather than have a straight knockout there will be a round robin type to start with, to give everyone a chance to play 2 or 3 games. So if you do want to enter let me know or just turnip on the night (preferably before 7. 30pm). Competition fees £ 1. 50 payable on the night. The Club have some darts availiable but if you want to bring your own thats fine.

Next Friday 28th March due a family bereavement the talk on Japan has been postponed until the Autumn. In it's place Geoff will be putting on a Quiz Night. So please come along if you can. Teams of 3 or possibily 4 welcome.

Friday 4th April Ladies Darts Night will be followed on Friday 11th with the Club's EASTER PRIZE BINGO
Friday 18th Open Evening
and Saturday 26th Join us in celebrating St George's Day with a meal in the Club. Details of menus etc. to be released shortly.
