I'm so grateful for discovering pencils as it's such a stress release, albeit sometimes the cause of stress 😬

My pencil work has come along way in a year or two but these are a few of my favourite pieces 🥰 my latest horse portrait and my beautiful cat are probably my proudest pieces!

I've grown up with collies who were very loyal but not cuddly. Max, on the other hand, would happily take a cuddle from a stranger 😆

Thank you for the lovely comments on my horse portrait... it really is quite humbling 🥰

I'd like to get stuck into another animal portrait but I'm so so indecisive so would love some ideas of what to draw next ❓❔❓❔

I've got lots of reference photos of birds and some wildlife like otters, hares... But I'm open to any suggestions 😌

I am soooo close to the finish line with this portrait 🏁
I am super pleased with how the saddle turned out too.
I now just need to make go over and darken the shadowed areas and add in some highlights.

What do you think ? 🥰

A little throwback to 3 years ago when I had a play around with watercolours. My lovely friend purchased this portrait 🥰

Wonder if I should start doing a few more of these ? 🎨🐘

Having a bit of 'painters block', so I thought I'd get a bit creative. This is my first ever attempt at watercolour portraits and I'm definitely out of my comfort zone!

The whole process of watercolours is completely different to using acrylics, not to mention the fact I'm not used to using such crazy colours!! 🌈
Still got lots to work on... So watch this space 😜

❄️Did anyone get any snow? ❄️
All we have is the usual ☔

On Monday I managed to spend a couple hours on the rider 🥰 not far off finishing the boot - which also made my brain hurt from all the creases in the leather. I've got the day off today, so barring going outside to do my horses, I'll be in my PJs with a cuppa and pencil in hand ☕✍️

I've just had the most refreshing walk with Max this evening and ended the walk with this beautiful sky 🥰

I think as I have grown older, I've learnt to appreciate the little things more 💙

I can't quite believe I painted this beautiful horse 4 years ago.
Still one of my faves 🥰

Been looking forward to sharing this one. This was commissioned by a friend for her boss who sadly lost her beautiful horse not too long ago. Hopefully this portrait shows just how handsome he was 💖
