I am starting a new block of weekly art classes for adults.

🔸Classes will be held in my home studio in Callander. Starting on Monday 17th April and running for an 8 week block (last class on Monday 5th June).

🔸There will be three time slots to choose from:

1.00 - 2.00 pm
6.15 - 7.15 pm
7.30 - 8.30 pm

🔸Classes will be for interest and enjoyment with no background in art necessary, suitable for complete beginners to anyone with an interest in art who wants to build on existing skills.

🔸The course will include different projects from previous classes.

🔸 There will be two time slots to choose from:

1.00 - 2.00 pm
7.30 - 8.30 pm

🔸Classes will be for interest and enjoyment with no background in art necessary, suitable for complete beginners to anyone with an interest in art who wants to build on existing skills.

🔸Would be ideal if you are looking for a new hobby for the new year, want to meet new people or just need some encouragement and motivation to get drawing and creating again!

Callander art classes

Remember tonight is the last class in this block!

Subject matter: Peppers/ Still life
Media: Charcoal & Chalk
Focus: Shape, tone, composition

We developed our previous sketches of peppers to build compositions. We built layers of charcoal and chalk, blending together to represent tone, shadows and highlights.

Media: HB & 2B pencil
Focus: Line, tone, shape

We made sketches of peppers using HB pencils and then used 2B pencils, blending stumps and rubbers to add tone, shadows and highlights.

Focus: Line, tone, texture

We sketched details from buildings and experimented with water soluble pencils to add tone and texture.

Media: watercolour, fine line pens
Focus: Line, colour, blending technique

We experimented with watercolour paints to create gradient backgrounds for small pen studies of landscapes & buildings.

Please note that the next block of art classes in Callander has a change of day and venue.

The dates will be: Tuesday 26th April - Tuesday 14th June.
Location: Masonic Hall, Craigard Road, Callander.
8 week block, £63 including all materials.

Same evening slots:
6.45 - 7.45pm
8.00 - 9.00pm
(No morning class unfortunately this time)

Some class regulars are unable to attend on the different day so there are spaces available if you are interested in joining.
