In response to our current exhibition of paintings by Sarah Lloyd MA: the Poetics of Space we invited Ian Munday, published writer, thinker and art history graduate to lead a POETRY WORKSHOP
Explore how one creative discipline generates another.
Music can be inspired by literature and poetry: think of Pushkin and Tchaikovsky, Schubert and Goethe & Britten and almost any English poet going.
Artists similarly can be inspired by literature: Dore & Dante, Holman Hunt & Keats, Ceri Richards and Dylan Thomas
Poets - by anyone or anything!
In these three workshops we will be aiming to explore our poetic vocabulary around the visual arts with the aim of producing poems to reflect visual works currently on display.
Come along and explore the potential poet in YOU.

Mewn ymateb i’n harddangosfa gyfredol o baentiadau gan Sarah Lloyd MA: Barddoniaeth y Gofod, fe wnaethom wahodd Ian Munday, awdur cyhoeddedig, meddyliwr a graddedig hanes celf i arwain GWEITHDY BARDDONIAETH
Archwiliwch sut mae un ddisgyblaeth greadigol yn cynhyrchu un arall.
Gall cerddoriaeth gael ei hysbrydoli gan lenyddiaeth a barddoniaeth: meddyliwch am Pushkin a Tchaikovsky, Schubert a Goethe a Britten a bron unrhyw fardd Seisnig sy’n mynd.
Yn yr un modd, gall artistiaid gael eu hysbrydoli gan lenyddiaeth: Dore a Dante, Holman Hunt a Keats, Ceri Richards a Dylan Thomas
Beirdd - gan unrhyw un neu unrhyw beth!
Yn y tri gweithdy hyn, byddwn yn anelu at archwilio ein geirfa farddonol o amgylch y celfyddydau gweledol gyda’r nod o gynhyrchu cerddi i adlewyrchu gweithiau gweledol sydd ar ddangos ar hyn o bryd.
Dewch draw i archwilio’r bardd posibl ynoch CHI.
