Caerphilly Art Society founded in 1976 by Elias Evans along with like minded supporters of the arts from the surrounding area. The aim of the Society is to encourage and inspire artists of all abilities through demonstrations and workshops by professional artists. We on the first and last Tuesday Of the month from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at The Twyn Community Centre in Caerphilly. Please see our whats o

n page on our main website for exact dates. New Members are always welcome so please do come and join us. Annual membership is £45 plus £2 per meeting, which includes refreshments. Why not come along to one of our meetings as a guest and have a chat with the other members. Our demonstrators are professional Artists who always inspire and encourage us. We also hold an Annual Exhibition in the Spring each year, where members can show and sell their work,
We have a short break during the summer when most people are on holidays and commence again in September, dates will be on our website. www.caerphillyartsociety.co.uk

We were all on the bottle last night 😂. Learning how variation in colour and value is one of the key techniques used to create a convincing illusion of transparent glass in watercolour. Excellent convincing results were achieved by all! Lovely to welcome some enthusiastic guests too. Thanks for a great session!

Our next meeting is on the 9th June. A paint along hosted by Liz Elsworth, painting glass in watercolour. You are welcome to join in and paint along or just watch.
Bring your watercolour paints brushes and paper, masking tape and masking fluid if you have some and a hairdryer to speed up the drying process. It should be a fun session again.
Guests welcome for a nominal £7 entry fee, includes raffle and refreshments.

What a fantastic Opening night! Thank you to Caerphilly Town Mayor for opening our exhibition which was very well attended . We were delighted to welcome to judge this year’s competition which was a very difficult task with so many wonderful entries. Congratulations to all our winners!
