Diolch yn fawr to everyone who joined us for the Caerphilly Uniform Exchange and University of South Wales Fashion Exhibition opening at Y Banc! 🍾👗🎶♻️

Such a lovely evening celebrating creativity, collaboration and some incredible pieces of recycled fashion, accompanied by some brilliant DJ skills The Hold Up

The exhibition is open again tomorrow from 10am-2pm, so come along and take a look! You can even get creative yourself and add your own design to a Calico suit from Doctor Who 🧵🪡

Every day, you’ll find him at his allotment, a place that’s become an important part of his life and wellbeing.

It’s his space to switch off, get stuck into something he loves and enjoy the simple satisfaction of watching something grow.

Creativity doesn’t always have to be about what you create. Sometimes, it’s about finding the things that inspire you, give you purpose and make you feel connected.

Ydych chi’n adnabod Karen?

Many people in Caerphilly will know Karen as the owner of Y Galeri caerffili showcasing work from makers across Wales.

But when she took over almost five years ago, Karen had to learn everything from scratch… even how to use the tills!

Since then, she’s created a space where Welsh creativity can be discovered, shared and celebrated.

Calling the Caerphilly Community!

We need your help finding the creative thinkers, problem-solvers, idea-makers and all-round passionate people who make Caerphilly a better place to live.

Selected nominees will be celebrated as part of a special photography exhibition at Y Banc this October, with their stories and creativity brought into the spotlight by professional photographer Jon Pountney

They’ll also be invited to a celebratory evening at Y Banc, bringing together some of the people making a difference across Caerphilly.

Remember creativity exists everywhere, not just in the arts!

You could nominate someone who has solved a problem in their community, started a brilliant new business, found a unique way to bring people together, or simply found something they’re passionate about that brings creativity, joy or purpose into their life.

Caiff yr unigolion a ddewisir eu dathlu fel rhan o arddangosfa ffotograffiaeth arbennig yn Y Banc ym mis Hydref, gyda'u straeon a'u creadigrwydd yn cael eu hamlygu gan y ffotograffydd proffesiynol Jon Pountney.

Byddant hefyd yn cael eu gwahodd i noson ddathlu yn Y Banc, gan ddod â rhai o'r bobl sy'n gwneud gwahaniaeth ledled Caerffili at ei gilydd.
