Buxton URC Broadwood Grand Piano The Buxton URC Broadwood Grand piano dates from 1899. It was completely overhauled and restored at the beginning of 2018. It is now ready for action!

It was lovely to see so many people hear Juanjo play this week. We look forward to welcoming Philip Leslie on November 25th. He will be playing from 2-3pm, doors open 1.30. Spread the word.

Flyers for our next two recitals are appearing around the town. This coming Thursday we welcome Juanjo who is playing music by Mozart, Beethoven and Rachmaninov. Starting at 2pm, tickets just £5 onthedoor. Find us on Hardwick Square East (opposite Buxton Infant School).

Pleased to be able to confirm the next two recitals featuring pianists from the RNCM.

On Thursday October 28th Juanjo Blazquez Garre is playing:
Mozart - Sonata in B flat major
Beethoven - Sonata in F minor No 23 'Appassionata'
Rachmaninov - Etudes Op 33 & Op 39.

On Thursday November 25th Philip Leslie is playing:
Haydn - Sonata in C major;
Schumann - Humoreske Op 20
Debussy - Pour le Piano.

We start at 2pm - doors open at 1.30pm. Tickets £5 on the door.

Excited to be able to confirm our first recital for the autumn season.
Thursday 23rd September we will welcome Giulia Contaldo. Born in Florence, Giulia has studied and performed across Europe and participated in the Leeds International Piano Competition last April.

We are pleased to be part of this year’s Buxton Festival Fringe which starts today.
We welcome three young pianists from the Royal Northern College of Music. As it stands the venue capacity is reduced by 50% and all our Fringe recitals are sold out.
The situation might change for the final recital on July 22nd.
We’ll keep you posted. Thanks for your support everyone.
