Platform 3 is a new joint outreach initiative by the Buxton Opera House and Buxton International Festival. It is designed to provide an accessible platform for all ages within the local community to engage with the arts.

Texts are available to borrow on the day, but readers can also bring their own copies.

This week we hosted our first ever Musical Theatre Summer School! 21 talented young people were put through their paces with Matthew Ryan and Mark Ellison, learning pieces from Six, The Greatest Showman, 13 and Legally Blonde plus a high energy commercial dance piece. Roll on Summer Camp 2022!

We are still on the look out for a few more fairies to take part in A Midsummer Night's Dream!

If you are aged between 8–12 years old, interested in performance, dance and drama and would like to be part of Titania’s fairy gang, then this opportunity is for you!

Moving Stories in collaboration with Buxton Opera House are bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare to the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton on Sunday 29 August 2021, and we would like to invite a team of fairies to join the show!

Applications are now open for our Young Company which will return to the Pavilion Arts Centre for a new term in September.

Young Company is Buxton Opera House’s flagship youth theatre group for anyone aged 5-17 with an interest in drama.

Led by Kitty Randle and Karina Tomlinson, Young Company provides a creative hub for young people where they can experiment, develop and fine tune their creative skills in both performance and production, in a safe and supportive environment, with the full support of our professional team.

Singers of Buxton, we need you!

Buxton Opera House have commissioned Moving Stories Theatre Company to bring to the Pavilion Gardens a fast paced, vibrant production of A Midsummer Night's Dream on Sunday 29 August.

We need joyful singers (18+) to join other members of the community and cast for the final number in the production, ‘It Must Be Love’ by Madness.
