A cute lil' Faux Rook piercing done today for my wonderful new client. Worn forwards for now because the client wears glasses. This piercing does not get on with glasses.... at least until the bar is downsized!

• Each appointment slot is 1 hour. A maximum of 2 piercings is allowed per slot. Strictly one slot per person.
• These dates are exclusively for clients with SEND/Additional needs. This is for reasons of safety, dignity and comfort.
• If you have additional needs, you are not limited to these dates, you are welcome anytime. These dates are for clients with additional needs who prefer a one hour appointment as this would not normally be available.
• Non-refundable deposit of £20 secures your appointment (a payment link will be sent).
• All above waist piercings are available and are subject to age and ID policy in the usual way. See website for the price list and then DM or email to book a SEND appointment.
• All prices on the website include basic titanium jewellery. On the day of your appointment, you will pay your remaining piercing fee and the cost of any upgraded jewellery or aftercare products you wish to purchase.
• A social story is available on the website for those who may appreciate it.
• When you DM to book, please state which piercing(s) you want and give me some brief information about your additional needs.
• A link to a medical consent form will be sent to you so that you can fill it in ahead of time.
• A free studio visit appointment is available in the usual online booking system if you want to have a chat before committing to booking the appointment.
• Deposits are non-refundable as with any other appointment and the usual amendment policy applies.

POV a client comes in for the first time and leaves with a fresh double Tragus piercing. High polish titanium done freehand with 10mm internally threaded labret bars.
❤️❤️❤️
I forgot to take a pic of the inside but this client has a wonderfully unique anatomy which allowed a slightly unconventional placement. Both piercings are perpendicular to the skin but this ear definitely proves the age-old rule that piercings don't have to be parallel, just perpendicular. I will grab a photo when we downsize.

BODY PIERCING MENTORSHIPS: There is a difference between training and mentoring and I absolutely love that I made the decision to formally become the latter.

Mentees get a whole year of my time, knowledge and skills for the same price as some course providers charge for a week or less of theirs. There are also options for my former course students to get in on this as well so DM if this applies.

PIERCINGS AND ANXIETY: Whilst I cannot pierce you if you are in any way distressed, needing to be held still or showing signs of nerves/anxiety disproportionate to what is going on, I can offer some advice if your anxiety is causing havoc before your appointment!
❓️ Prepare yourself so that you will arrive with the reassurance that knowledge brings. Ask questions about the process before you book if you need to. Make yourself familiar with your aftercare obligations and how you can avoid anxiety causing issues with aftercare.
❌️ Anxiety tends to cause more problems post-piercing than during. Over-cleaning, restless sleep, self-neglect, using your piercing to fidget with or constantly switching up your aftercare methods every day because anxiety makes you believe that something "doesn't work" can lead to bad healing. The inevitable piercing bumps, soreness or wet wounds as a result of this just add more anxiety to the mix and a vicious circle is often the result.
🤩 Prepare your piercer. People can not be expected to help you if they don't know what is happening. If there are reasonable adjustments that will help, then let your piercer know in advance. The word "reasonable" is important here.
🌯 Eat before your appointment. Increased adrenaline on an empty stomach is not going to make things any better.
💧Bring a drink and take small sips during the session.
⏰️ If you need a slightly longer appointment, ask beforehand.
😎 Cancel or change your appointment if your anxiety is too severe in the days before your appointment. Losing a deposit if you cancel at very short notice is better than you having a piercing which you are not in the right place mentally to look after or the piercer refusing to pierce you if you are distressed
🪀 Bring a distraction such as a stressball or fidget toy
🥰 General nervousness is not the same as clinical anxiety. Nervousness is temporary. Your brain is doing it's job in response to an immediate threat. The above can help with this too but nerves calm down quickly and are temporary. Nerves can make you feel anxious but not in the same context as someone experiencing Anxiety disorders.
