This summer we will be running a handful of pottery afternoons for Parents and Kids with a taste for trying a bit of pottery!! All kinds of lovely projects will be made and decorated using your own hands from tortoise type dishes to happy Highland cows and beyond!! Our 1st session is Tuesday 28th July from 1pm. Botanicals plate... this was a commission a few years ago now, collected some tiny beautifully shaped leaves and rolled them gently into my white rolled out earthenware clays.... then using the dry brush technique I dubbed lightly around the leaves with a couple of dry oxides and a little dry underglaze. This leaves a lovely resist leafy pattern... then moulded into a dish mould and curled the loose untrimmed edges... simplicity at its finest.... its still one of my favourite decorative pieces ❤️ #
