We are thrilled to announce that two-time Olivier Award winner will be playing Albert Einstein in our new co-production of Albert's Boy by Olivier Award-winning James Graham, directed by Olivier Award-winning Terry Johnson.

Griff Rhys-Jones said: “I am delighted to be working with Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds on Albert’s Boy. As someone who lives in East Anglia I consider it to be one of my local theatres and so I am looking forward to working with them to stage this fantastic play by James Graham. As a history enthusiast it will be a pleasure to delve into Einstein’s world, and as a man who was known for his sense of humour, I hope I can do the role justice!”

Running at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds from 26 February to 20 March 2027, don't miss this darkly comic, thought-provoking play about guilt, war, and the atomic bomb.

We’re thrilled to announce that acclaimed stage and screen actor Catherine Russell will star as Patricia Highsmith in our gripping autumn in-house production of Switzerland by Joanna Murray-Smith. 🎭

Known to many as Serena Campbell in Holby City, Catherine brings extraordinary depth and presence to the role of the thriller writer behind The Talented Mr Ripley.

Set in the Swiss Alps in 1995, Switzerland is a razor-sharp psychological thriller packed with tension, secrets and twists that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats… come to our season launch event on Monday 1st June to find out more.
