Here’s a first ! We’re used to our rocks turning up around the world, but this little beauty is a visitor from South Africa. First seen, I believe, up at Moreton Hall but now in Fornham and will be rehidden soon.

Some rare examples of Fornham st Martin christmas rock art are now available hidden in the nooks and crannies of the village. Go forth and find!

Really nice little Halloween rock discovered in the village and comes to us courtesy of 'Colchester Rocks'. Thank you.

Recognise any of these? Soon to be hitting the streets of Fornham again once the finder has been tucked up in bed and is none the wiser. Anyone else got a little hoarder? :)

I found this lovely 'sparkly' one at the field a couple of days ago (actually it was my four year-old grandson picked it up and refused to let it go). Thank you Ellie (I assume) and I'll make sure it gets rehidden very soon.

Two lovely, summery, rocks found by Donna out in the village and now rehidden by me ! Thank you.

Well Hello Kitty ! Found this one (of Jacqui's) wandering around at the top of Old Hall Lane today. But it's now moved on to a new home . . . as cat's are wont to do, There was also a really nice stegasaurus (?) up at the Playing Field.

Well it's been about a fortnight now since we launched the Fornham St Martin Rock Trail and started putting out the rocks.
Though as you can see from the photo there are new ones still going out - and the total is around 200 so far.
The response has been overwhelmingly positive and even the local postmen have joined in and volunteered to hide some for us !
The rocks have started to move themselves around the village - appearing and re-appearing - and we've seen a few new ones. I posted separately this morning about a funny fungi visitor from Norfolk we found over the weekend.
As you know we're very happy for people, especially little people, to pick them up and take them home. But please remember to take them back out and hide them somewhere new next time you're out.
It would also be nice if you and your children painted up your own rocks and joined in the fun.
Finally please help spread the word and tell your friends about the Fornham St Martin Rock Trail and this page. We'd also love to see more pictures of your finds here.

We're absolutely thrilled to have found our first 'visitor'. Donna picked up this foreign fungi in the village at the weekend and it's all the way from Norfolk Rocks UK 2017. Having stopped-over in Suffolk it will shortly be on its way to Cambridgeshire to visit the Burwell Rocks community.
