Super evening yesterday at the Milkmaid. A great opening set from George, Nancy and Martin, then an absolutely fabulous guest spot from Georgia Shackleton and Aaren Bennett playing songs and tunes from their new album 'From the Floorboards' telling the story of Georgia's distant relative explorer Ernest Shackleton, and the fiddle made from the Floorboards of his former home.

The Milkmaid kicked off the new year with a real bang in the company of Tony Phillips and the Doghouse Collective, and friends, Faradena Afifi and the Puppets proving excellent backing vocals. It was a super evening and a good crowd were treated to Tony's excellent songs and rip roaring tunes from the Dogs and dancing too from Tony's grandchildren.

Do come and join us next time on the 6th February when our guests will be Georgia Olivia Shackleton and Aaren Bennett, with support from club favourites George and Nancy with Martin Gibson on percussion.

Fab evening at the Milkmaid last night with The Doghouse Collective. The two Tonys (surely a band name in the making there), Richard, Marie and Chris, ably assisted by the Puppettes, gave us a feast of traditional and contemporary folk. This Friday, 7th November, we’re thrilled to welcome back the fantastic Plumhall. Hailing from south Yorkshire, Plumhall are Michelle Plum and Nick Hall.

In 2024 they completed a successful 30-date tour as special guests of Fairport Convention on their Winter Tour, They performed at Costa Festival in Ibiza in May. They were then reunited with Fairport at the Cropredy Convention in August, where they performed as part of an extended Fairport lineup

Plumhall have had the honour of performing with the legendary Al Stewart multiple times, including at renowned venues such as London’s Palladium and Cadogan Hall. They have also played alongside esteemed musicians like Larry Campbell, Phil Beer and Steve Knightley.
