Braved the chill at tonight's art sketch at my local fire station. Really interesting to watch the fire crew drill.

Really enjoyed sketching the horse rescue.

It has been a little while since I have found time to sketch and attempt a portrait. I am keen to up my portraiture practice! 😁

I started this baseline sketch tonight. It needs features refining and other weights of pencil added but it's a good foundation sketch.

It was an absolute honour to provide a sketch of my great uncle Shoz. We struggled to find a photo fit for his order of service so I was asked if I could come up with one instead.

So many people commented how lovely it was with such a personal touch!

I think I did him justice. So many people were amazed at his likeness which is such a great compliment :-) I was a bit nervous with this one as it's the first time I have displayed my portraiture in a public place!

Our art group went to a sketch in a church with bowler players tonight. Bit different! Pretty hard to draw the players as they moved so fast!

6 OAPs and their bowling banter would have made a good 'Carry on...' series 🤣even the lady with the zimmer was too fast to sketch!

Also found the drum kit obviously. 🤣

It is never too early to encourage the love of art and drawing!

My children brought me a locket for my birthday, I wondered what photos to fill it with then I thought why don't I let them draw something special to them.

Sienna drew hers all by herself, Luca requested a dinosaur to colour in. Very tricky in a tiny space.

I think they did a fab job! 😁

I love the love that goes into handmade gifts! 🥰
