Burton Costume Project is still mostly one person in a room, with a very large amount of costumes.
Every repair, every label, every photo, every message, every hire and every rail sorted takes time.

We had so much fun mixing and matching pieces to create these hidden folk sets.

There are around 30 pieces available to hire, which can be styled in different combinations depending on your cast, sizing and production needs.
Perfect for adding texture, colour and character to your frozen production without every costume needing to be identical.

Our prices vary depending on the item, production needs and hire length, but we aim to keep things as affordable as possible for local schools, theatres and community groups
You can hire individual pieces, character costumes, accessories or larger sets depending on what you need.
Send us the show, dates and rough cast size, and we can let you know what might work.

Things have been a little quieter on here while I try to fit Burton Costume Project around work, family life, costume sorting, enquiries, and the general chaos of real life (chicken pox!)

But the project is still very much moving forward behind the scenes.

I’m currently working through the collection, improving the website, answering hire enquiries, and slowly getting more items photographed and organised so they’re easier for schools, youth theatres and community groups to browse.

Burton Costume Project is still very much a work in progress — but it’s growing, and every enquiry, hire, share, donation and kind word genuinely helps.

Thank you for sticking with it while I build it properly, one rail of costumes at a time.

Hi all,
Just a quick note to say I’ll be offline over the bank holiday weekend 😊

As a one-woman project alongside my day job, I’m taking some time off to rest and enjoy time with my family.

I won’t be responding to messages during this time, but I’ll pick everything up again next week.
