Had the pleasure of being back on Friday to do some glazing with the girls group. It was such a chill day with lovely engagement and laughs. I forgot to take anymore pictures as I was just enjoying hanging out with them all so much

*restock at the shop*

The minis are in

Huge collection of mini goddesses and new mini men folk just landed in store. They are all hand made w and hand painted, the are all different and all look full of character- they do make me smile. They look like they are going to come alive at night and get up to mischief.

Itty bitty tiddy mini bud vases ready to go to the shop on Friday for a restock 🌷

These would be so perfect on a trinket shelf ❤️

As I’m doing a Masters in psychosexual and relationship therapy, they are also a welcome addition to my office!

“Down at the bottom of the garden, among the rhubarb and ferns, hides a mini kingdom of mini goddesses and mini men folk……”

I feel like I’m on to something here ….. or maybe I’ve just found another way to procrastinate and hang out in my wild garden instead of working 😂

Either way, this batch of minis has made me smile this morning and I think I’m going to start a stoneware range that can be left in the garden as I really like the thought of having these little cuties peeking out from the flowers.

Ceramics workshop- Term 1 in alternative education - throwing on the wheel and experimental glaze combos

I’ve just finished the term running my first ceramics workshop for children and young people in alternative provision education.

We attempted a different theme each making week- allowing for free creative expression and exploration of individual ideas - most times it worked out, sometimes it didn’t 😂
We also worked on a larger group project-wait for it on my last post in a few days-it’s amazing!!

We alternated between different methods of hand building, glazing and some crafts mixed in. They have made plenty of unique items to take home and we’re thrilled to be able to give some as gifts to family or friends.

I’ve absolutely loved every session and the young people I’ve worked with and all the staff have made me so welcome. I’ve already been invited back for a session with a girls group they have in June 😊

We had a brilliant last week of term, despite the strange weather! The Horticulture group didn't let hail stop them and painted the fence, planted bulbs ready for the summer and did some weeding. Forest Skills learned multiple ways to build a shelter, which came in handy! We had our final Ceramics and Cake Decorating sessions, ready for new projects in the summer. Thanks again to Firesign ceramics and The Old Manor House Bakery. We hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and we look forward to the Summer Term.
