Well, here we are at Rose of the Shires Tattoo Studio. Est. 2008. Based at 96C High street, Burton Latimer, Kettering NN15 5LA, ( just inside The Galleria ). We have Justyn Knott, A local English Profession Portrait Artist and illustrator. JUSTYN WAYNE KNOTT, the owner, has 20 years Illustration and Art and Design experience, 20 years tattooing experience, Including 2 diplomas in art and design, he also studied on a B.A Hons Degree in illustration and Animation at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a natural artist with a flair for high spec work, a keen an eye for detail as well as being extremely versatile. All custom work is carried out, Photo Realistic, Portraiture, Maori, Memorial, Horror, Feminine, Neo- Traditional, Japanese, Dot work , Mandala, black and grey, watercolour, full colour , continuations from other artists, cover ups .etc . In fact i think all genres are catered for ..whatever it is you are wanting..im sure we can and will carry out for you. Council registered with local Environmental Authority we adhere to the highest standards of hygiene for a safe and friendly environment. We only use High Quality needles and inks. Justyn is generally a busy bee so consultations and bookings are advisable,( deposits are necessary to book in ) although walk-ins are sometimes available ( pls DM or ring studio first). We are an open plan studio but we have privacy screens upon request . As our client base has spread geographically online Payments are now available via online banking.

Our flat rate is £80 an hour for tattoos, custom work, high detail and portraiture . Cover up work will be priced individually . Consultation fees and deposits...
Please note a £20 fee will be charged to have an hour's consultation. The £20 will act as a deposit if you book in with us for your tattoo, Justyn will discuss your idea concepts and can go through sizing, placement, style , research ,and using photoshop can also superimpose the tattoo on to the requested body part so you can get a visual before committing to the tattoo. If you choose not to book in then unfortunately the £20 will act as a consultation fee for the artist's time and therefore will be non-refundable. We require at least 48 hours notice of any appointment cancellations and failure to do so will result in loss of deposit. Our minimum charge for tattoos is £30
or £40 for neck or hands (inc fingers, thumbs). Deposits are as follows

Large tattoo and day sits £100
IM AFRAID NO BOOKINGS CAN BE TAKEN WITHOUT AT LEAST A MINIMUM £30 DEPOSIT. Touch ups and layering . Touch ups are the damage to a tattoo in the healing process , generally minimal. Layering is the building up of a tattoo , generally used on large tattoos where the time scale involved is more advisably to work on a large area and build it up in stages rather than work exact tattooing in small areas to get an even gradient of ink .Generally used on sleeves, back pieces etc similar to oil painting technique. Tattooing is not an exact science and sometimes will require touching up , plenty of factors can be involved here, we incur a minimum charge of £10 to cover our overheads and charge a reduced rate of £25 per hour for touch ups. Layering is run on our usual hourly rate. Tattoo Gift Vouchers are also available and have a 12 month expiry date from time of purchase, ty.
