That concludes my journey at the Loom and what journey it has been!
I stepped in as a director five years ago & had no idea what lay ahead & how much this place would grow to mean to me and so many others.
There was a lot that we got right, and a lot that we got wrong, many things I’m proud of & equally as many things I wish I could have done differently, but it’s all been part of the journey.
Over the years I’ve met some truly fantastic people & I’m grateful for everyone who has stepped through the doors to make Loom what it was & the community we built where everyone felt safe and welcome. I’ve seen so many people spend their evenings here with huge smiles on their faces, lots of laughter & dancing. It warms my heart so much to know we built that!
With that, I want say the biggest thankyou ever to everyone who has supported us. Customers, bands, musicians, sound techs, staff, dj’s, suppliers, and everything in between. The Loom really wouldn’t be what it was without you guys 🥺
Over the years we’ve had the privilege of hosting phenomenal bands, musicians & performers. From acoustic sets to bands that shook the walls, everyone brought something special. We’re lucky to have so much talent in our local music scene filled with people that genuinely love what they do. Thankyou so much to everyone who performed here & gave this place soul! You’re all ace 🫶🏽
Sadly, over the last 18 months or so our focus has been keeping our heads above water rather than growing the venue. I know that a lot of places are in the same boat. We have a range of fantastic bars, restaurants & venues in and around Burnley so keep showing up & supporting your local businesses & artists as much as you can & keep live music alive! Whether it’s buying a ticket or sharing a post, your support really does mean more than you think.
Thankyou to all my staff current & previous, it’s been a pleasure to work with such a strong team of people.
An extra special mention to my family who have supported me at every win & every mental breakdown & never complained. I’m lucky to have so much love and support. My dad thought he was retiring a few years ago but little did he know he’d be doing this much over time in exchange for a few Pale Eagles 😂
Thankyou again to everyone who has supported us at any part of the journey, my heart is very very full from all the lovely comments over the past few days 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
