This week didn’t go to plan, and honestly, it was the right call.

With the heatwave making it unsafe to move fish, we cancelled all scheduled work to protect their well-being. That turned out to be the right call, as we spent the week on emergency call‑outs for failing filters, pumps, fountains and low oxygen levels (including one call-out to a school). In this heat, those issues can become serious fast.

After one last urgent job this morning, we’re finally taking a moment in the shade by our own pond. Crystal‑clear water, perfect reflections, and a brand‑new lily opening today — all thanks to our Water Therapy treatment and the Oase BioSmart 36000 keeping everything balanced.

What a difference a clean makes.
This wildlife pond has absolutely come alive since its deep clean. Clearer water, healthier plants, and the wildlife are already making the most of it. A thriving pond doesn’t need to be complicated; it just needs the right balance, a bit of care, and a helping hand now and then.

It’s been a full-on week for both teams — all hands on deck and all roads leading to beautiful ponds!

The Water Therapy Team have been on the road from Woodbridge to Beccles, Harleston to Poringland, and everywhere in between, keeping lakes and ponds healthy and clear. 🪴

The Pond Team have been on restoration duty — bringing an old waterfall/fountain back to life and tackling a run of pond cleans that had them quite literally up to their waists in silt and sludge. Not glamorous… but absolutely essential, and they smashed it. 🛠️

And as for the boss… well, Pure Ponds Ltd started from his love of fishing, but we’re not sure fishing for hundreds of crafty little goldfish in a sludge-filled pond was quite what he had in mind!🎣😅

Every pond tells a story — and this week’s chapters were written in mud, sunshine, and a lot of laughter.

Overseers really are starting younger and younger.
We were mid‑pond‑clean — trimming back the overgrown foliage and giving this space a proper refresh — when this tiny moorhen chick paddled straight over to check on our progress.

We take our work seriously…
…but we’ll always make time for the cutest quality‑control officer on record.

And we’re pleased to report that we passed the inspection.

But honestly, moments like this are a reminder that ponds aren’t just features; they’re habitats, full of curious little residents who notice everything.

🌴A Window to Wonder 🌴

There’s something magical about seeing a pond come to life — not just for the grown-ups, but for the little ones too. This moment says it all: pure fascination as our customer’s grandchild watches the koi glide past the viewing window.

This raised pond build is nearly complete — next week we’ll be back to install the waterfall, and soon after, the pergola that will frame this tropical retreat perfectly.

For now, we’re loving how the glass brings the underwater world right up close. It’s the kind of detail that turns a garden into a story.

We’re mid‑way through this stunning raised pond build, and even though it’s not finished yet, you can already feel the tropical vibes coming together.

Warm wood, clean lines, a crystal‑clear viewing window — it’s going to be a beauty.

Next week, we’ll be adding the final touches: filtration, planting, water, and all the magic that brings a pond to life… all the behind‑the‑scenes moments that turn a garden into a little slice of paradise.

We built a 10-metre-long, double‑walled sleeper pond, designed so the surrounding planting can flourish without blocking the view of the water or the goldfish gliding beneath the surface. It’s the same principle we use when building swim ponds, letting you feel immersed in nature without letting the plants take over the space you actually want to enjoy.

To keep everything running beautifully, we installed:
