What a Journey we'll have! Our story will take us from the devastating scene of mayhem at St Mary's Church, Bungay, where Shuck appeared, to Blythburgh. On the way he travels through Ilketshall St Andrew, where he is disturbed by the medieval wall painting of the Wheel of Fortune. He continues to Redisham, where the heart of summer's harvest lies then onward to Westhall and a link to the Plantagenet Kings. At Blyford the spirit of Queen Etheldreda haunts the marshes until, finally arriving at Blythburgh, where his dark past catches up with him leading to an unexpected end. All supported by a community chorus of 70, a five-piece band, two vocal soloists and a narrator!

Just putting final touches to The Journey - getting it ready for the big day! Delighted that we'll be working with Lloyd Willis Turnbull, Steve MacLachlan, Natasha Gawlinski, AJ Deane, Dide Siemmond, Michael Davidson and a huge community choir - August 4th, Bungay. See you there!

Honoured to have my latest work, The Journey, commissioned by this year's Black Shuck Festival - performance date Sunday 4th August - Bungay, Suffolk. My fourth major piece in under two years!

Thank you very much for showing interest in The Journey. We are delighted that you want to be involved. I am very excited by this project and think it will be fun, exciting, dramatic and....tiring!

Basically, now please just turn up on the day (11 am start until 4.30). We will break for 30 minutes at 1 pm. I will send all material to you before the day but there us really no need to do anything until we all get together.

We will be working with some great musicians on the day.

I have also set up a WhatsApp chat group - The Black Dog - The Journey, so if you would like to be added to that please send me your mobile number.

The choir is growing steadily for this event on August 4th. We've had such a terrific response so far and there's still time to get involved.
