Deadline: 15th April
Hello,
We are looking for a partner who is a collaborator, facilitator and enabler. Someone who can draw out creativity in others and help build a supportive environment where all participants feel supported and empowered to experiment with new ideas and approaches. A flexible person who has the ability to work in partnership (sharing decision-making and facilitating hands-on experience), reflect on and articulate the learning that has evolved through the project and be able to disseminate this the school and its wider community. Practitioners need to be willing to work with whole classes. A confident creative person who is happy to learn alongside the school as a team player.
We have 28 incredible Year 5 learners 14 girls and 14 boys. WE want to embed OUTDOOR learning
We want an artist who is fun, thinks on the spot, nourishes children participant feedback and is excited to plan with teacher and pupils. Will not over burden themselves with too many LCS projects. And is great at reflection and time management.
We want to evolve our outdoor language, learning and strategy for the future not just the project.
DEADLINE 15th April 2024
We want to see an A4 expression of interest that describes your strategy for investigations. How you want to incorporate planning with pupils and teachers and reflective games and habit of mind exploration.
We will be looking at Collaboration, and discipline. We are looking at oracy, maths reasoning and clear positive dialogue and expression.
Aberbargoed Primary is a set in the heart of the community of Aberbargoed. We are a community focused school who believe that learners and families should be at the heart of all our decision making. We aim to make our school a nurturing, safe and happy environment for learners where everyone feels they are valued. Prioritising pupil wellbeing, we believe, provides learners with the best start in life.“EVERYONE MATTERS”“MAE PAWB YN BWYSIG”
Year 6 at Aberbargoed Primary would like to explore how better to use the outdoor environment as a resource for creative teaching and learning in literacy, particularly in year 3 and 4 with boys. Literacy is key priority in our school development plan. School improvement has been slow over the last two years and we feel that we need to develop the creative skills of our learners and teachers and find new creative approaches to teaching and learning to support improvements in attainment in literacy. Further planning meetings with our chosen Artist/Creative Practitioner will refine and focus our initial ideas and support more detailed planning.
Please email Blue, Ellie and Jess your A4 expression of interests and hopefully we will be emailing everyone soon into the Summer Term with details of interview day and planning day confirmations. This Project is entirely taking place in SUMMER TERM 2024 please make sure you are available for dates for this project through to July 2024. Thank You.
