Let’s talk correct anatomy for a navel (belly button) piercing!

It is a very anatomy dependent piercing, and I unfortunately, have had to send a lot of very disappointed people away due to the incorrect anatomy lately so I thought I’d explain why.

What are we looking for??

A belly button with a defined lip/ledge to support the jewellery like in photos 2 and 5.

Belly buttons that don’t collapse on themselves when sitting, unlike the last photo.

In some cases you may have a little ledge, but a shallow belly button, or you might have a good ledge and a belly button that collapses, therefor it might be possible but with a different type jewellery such as a smaller bottom ball or a floating navel with a flat disk on the bottom.
Unfortunately outies or very flat navels are usually not possible 😢

This has nothing to do with weight. It is purely down to that little ledge and how your umbilical cord was cut at birth.
Some people just don’t have the right anatomy the same as some people don’t have for some ear piercings.

Please know, I will not pierce you if you have the wrong anatomy. I will not take your money knowing I’m setting you up for a disaster, I would rather say no. I can say that I learned this valuable lesson the hard way when practicing..luckily on a friend 🙃

Unfortunately there are many piercers out there that will pierce any, so please do your research!

Everyone always knows that one person that’s managed to heal a totally wrong piercing by some miracle, I’ve met a few..they got lucky! 😅 That doesn’t mean I’m going to take the risk on your body!

I love making something unique out of uneven piercings 🤗

My client already had her first, second, and a very high third pierced.
She didn’t want to just add another in the gap, so we opted for a stacked lobe and a forth to make it look a little more deliberate.
I personally think it’s crying out for another below the stacked with a little huggy hoop when it’s healed 😍
