🌊💙 CROOKLETS BEACH RETAINS BLUE FLAG STATUS FOR 2026! 💙🌊

We’re incredibly proud that Crooklets Beach has once again been awarded Blue Flag status for 2026, placing it firmly among Bude’s award-winning coastline.

The Blue Flag is an internationally recognised symbol of excellence, awarded to beaches that are clean, safe, and well-managed for everyone to enjoy. This achievement reflects the ongoing care, commitment, and pride shown throughout the year by so many people in our community.

We are so lucky to have a beach like Crooklets on our doorstep — from early morning surf sessions and family beach days, to sunset walks and quiet moments by the sea, it’s a place that means so much to locals and visitors alike.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helps make this possible. To the Bude RNLI Lifeguards whose dedication, professionalism, and tireless work throughout the season keeps everyone safe in and around the water — your presence is a huge part of what makes Crooklets so special.

And to organisations such as Cleaner Seas Group and The 2 Minute Foundation alongside local volunteers and beach clean teams, who continue to protect our coastline and raise awareness of ocean conservation — your efforts make a real and lasting difference.

This award is a reflection of a community that truly cares for its coastline, and we couldn’t be prouder.

💌 Message from Nick & Kath 💌

What a half term it has been!

As we come to the end of another busy week, we just wanted to take a moment to say a truly heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who visited us over the half term break.

The support we've received has been incredible. Whether you popped in for a coffee, brought the family down for lunch, enjoyed the live music, or simply stopped by to say hello, you've helped make this one of the best half terms we've had.

Seeing the café and outside full of people enjoying themselves, laughing and making the most of the sunshine has been so special. Moments like those are exactly why we do what we do, and we genuinely couldn't do it without your support. Every visit, every recommendation and every kind word means more to us than you know.

A huge thank you must also go to our amazing team. They've worked tirelessly through some very warm days, always with a smile on their faces and a willingness to help. We are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic group of people behind us.

Half term may be coming to an end, but we're not slowing down just yet! We still have live music today (hopefully out in the sunshine!) and another fantastic weekend planned next week!

Half term is nearly here… and with the sunshine looking like it’s sticking around, we’re extending our opening hours so you can enjoy even more time with us! 🌼🍦🥤

From Saturday 23rd – Saturday 30th, we’ll be open every day from 8:30am – 8pm.

After that, we’ll return to our usual closing times:
Weekdays until 5pm
Weekends until 6pm

🍳 Breakfast served until 11:30am
🍔 Lunch menu served from 12pm

No need to book — just come along, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy some brilliant food, tasty drinks, and relaxed half term vibes with us ☀️💙
