A brilliant day at Chester Regatta - the world’s oldest rowing regatta! Sunshine, singing crowds & a warm welcome all round.
We were honoured to receive a crystal tankard from The Right Worshipful, The Lord Mayor of Chester, Margaret Parker, for our contribution to a fantastic day of racing & festivities.
A huge thank you to Directors Paul Coady and Jan Chillery of Chester Regatta Ltd for all their help & support - always a pleasure to be part of this wonderful event.

🏆What a Whit Friday for Royal Buckley!
We’re delighted to share our full set of results received overnight from across the Saddleworth circuit. With 110 bands competing across all sections, it’s no surprise we had to wait for them to come in - & they were worth the wait.

We played our hearts out and gave a 'really exciting, stylish' performance. Sadly, not the result we hoped for, being placed 6th out of 8 bands in the second section.
A huge thank you to our Music Director Keith Jones for his wonderful interpretation of the test piece, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea by Philip Harper. His musical leadership brought out the best in us.
👏 Special congratulations to our soloists, Jen, Rae, Jack H, John, Lucy, Steve, Jack D and Colin, who earned glowing praise from the adjudicators remarking they enjoyed the musical pictures they created. You’ve done us proud!
🎶 Well done to everyone who took part & warm congratulations to Markem & District on their 1st prize.
💛 Finally, heartfelt thanks to our families, friends and supporters - your encouragement means the world. Diolch yn fawr iawn! 🥳
