It’s my favourite time of the year again - the studio is once more absolutely full of flower presses packed with wedding flowers ❤️

One thing that often surprises people is just how many presses a single bouquet needs. Every wedding bouquet that arrives for preservation is carefully taken apart and pressed flower by flower, petal by petal, with most bouquets filling around 5 LARGE FLOWER PRESSES by the time everything has been tucked in and arranged.

That means there are a lot of flower presses in the studio right now (all lovingly made for me by Mr Pressed Meadow!) and every single one is in use preserving somebody’s special flowers - and the memories attached to them 🥰

P.S. We’re in the middle of a busy wedding season, so the studio doesn’t quite look as neat and tidy as it does in this photo 😅🙈

Behind the scenes of bouquet preservation 🌸

This is why it takes a while…

A single fluffy peony / flower can turn into so many individual petals once I start taking it apart. Every petal is separated by hand and carefully laid into the flower press one by one so it dries properly and keeps its shape as beautifully as possible.

It’s a really slow process, just quietly working through each flower and preserving all the little details that made up someone’s special bouquet in the first place.

A new oval botanical composition, something I’ve quietly been dreaming of for a while. It brings such a soft, romantic feel to my pressed wedding bouquet preservation, while still keeping that light, airy, modern botanical style I love so much.

I can’t wait to start creating more of these!
