I was hoping to get this finished before the finale of airs tonight but I’m guessing I’ve got another two or three hours to go until this bad boy is complete….. so much bloody detail! I wanted to share it anyway because I’m so happy with how it’s turning out. This one is only 5 colours (a step down from my final few pieces!) but the detail on this is epic, especially on soldier boys armour which included so many tiny cuts. After I saw photo of soldier boy I knew I wanted to turn it into a papercutting. It’s another fun piece to add to my ever growing collection of the boys fa art!

LOVE the books and LOVED as Reacher in the show…. Whilst I wait impatiently for the season two air date to be announced I’ve been rewatching season one whilst papercutting this beauty. says it gives her a graphic novel vibe, which I’m super pleased about. 12 layers makes this piece about a centimetre thick so a bit of a beast, much like the man himself….. the most muscular arms I’ve had the pleasure of working on. This is 32x32cm and cut using my trusted craft knife.

This is 2 years in the making but I think it’s been worth the wait! Multicoloured paper cut foreground with a spray paint background in all the red, pink and purple paper I could find. Details on faces this small was an absolute nightmare to cut out and I nearly rage quit, which happened 18 months ago when I attempted this piece the first time. That attempt ended up in the bin, whilst this one is going to end up framed and on the wall…. Makes me realise how far I’ve come…..

The final piece I’ve been working on over the last month is this cutout based off of the season two finale of Stranger Things. I loved this moment between Hopper and 11 when they held hands, before she went badass and shut the gate! This cutout also gave me the opportunity to mess around with attempting a 3D element to the background which I think has worked really well!

Another project I have been working on…. This one is of the incredible as the green arrow. I loved the show Arrow and have wanted to do a cutout for such a long while. With Stephen being at London film and Comic-Con next month now seemed an ideal opportunity, and fingers crossed I’ll be able to get it signed by him 🤞🤞🤞🤞As always cut using excel blades

Living with a chronic illness, which is hard to explain and sometimes difficult to for others to understand, can be emotionally and mentally exhausting. When I have a flare up (which seems constant at the moment) I feel really lucky to have a hobby which I can focus on. Paper cutting, even for 20 minutes a day, gives me an outlet for my crazy and makes me feel a little bit more like me! So here is what I’ve worked on…. An 80’s vibe neon portrait of Chief Jim Hopper from Stranger Things.

A year ago today I finished cutting The Seven from the tv show the boys. I had backed it on red paper (to match a previous cutout of Billy Butcher and the gang) but it didn’t feel finished. I knew it needed something more, but not knowing what that ‘more’ was I ended up putting it in a folder with other unfinished projects. Then announced their Vaughtcon convention and the cutout came back out of its hiding place! After multiple ideas for backgrounds I settled on the one above. The Vaught logo was so simple yet effective that I’m glad I didn’t settle for for the original red. I now have four signatures on it and can’t wait to collect more as It’s genuinely one of my favourite pieces…..

Not all pet portraits are of cats and dogs…. Sometimes it’s of an alpaca and sometimes that alpaca is super super special. This was a really wonderful piece to cut and I’m thrilled with how it came out. It’s genuinely one of my favourites. P.S if you haven’t walked an alpaca then you really really need to! It’s the most incredible experience!
