💥IMPORTANT UPDATE: GRENADES & PYROTECHNICS

Following a recent insurance and health & safety review, we need to make a change to the rules around grenades and pyrotechnics at Finmere

This applies to all Finmere events going forward.

🔞 If anyone under 18 is attending the event:

No grenades or pyrotechnics, that are restricted to sale to over-18s, may be used. This applies regardless of whether they were purchased from us or brought with you.

💥 If everyone attending is 18 or over:

Grenades and pyrotechnics can be used, but only products purchased from Finmere on the day.

This is an insurance requirement and means our marshal team knows exactly what is being used on site and can follow the correct safety procedures for those products.

🧨The exception:
Pop-cap grenades

Grenades that use standard toy pop caps, like the type pictured, can continue to be used at all Finmere events, including those attended by under-18s.

We know pyro is part of the fun for plenty of players, so this isn’t a change we’ve made lightly.

These updated rules allow us to keep pyro at Finmere where possible, while making sure we meet our insurance obligations and maintain the right safety standards for everyone on site. The only other option was a complete ban on everything.

In short:

*Under-18s present = pop-cap grenades only.*

*18+ event = Finmere-purchased pyro/grenades + pop-cap grenades only.*

Thanks for working with us on this one. 👍🏻

Any questions please message me directly but there should be no grey areas on this.
