Hi, it’s G&M here.

Last time we mentioned that Edmund will have a chance to meet both friends and foes during his adventures and that not always it will be obvious who is who.
An example: there is Edmund’s encounter of group of humans. Do you think that is potential friends who stopped him at night… in the middle of the forest?

Hi, it’s G&M here.
We hope you are well.
The work is slowly going on.
One thing that will be important for Edmund (after his family) is friends. In his journey he will be able to meet characters from different nations and cultures but also some whose definition of living is more complicated than average.

(This picture comes from prototyping level and doesn’t fully represent visuals in the final game).

It was busy time: family holidays, kids going back to school, regular work.

Semi-fantasy medieval trading RPG.

Hi, it’s G&M here.

Our game development journey started some time ago. During that time we were exploring mainly two game engines: Unity and Unreal.
Finally – we have made the decision: Edmund the Adventurer will be developed in Unreal!
It’s exciting to us and we would like to share some of our recent work with you.
One day, Edmund went to the nearest forest to cut some trees, unfortunately he hasn’t finished the job the way he wanted….

Edmund the Adventurer – about the game.

Where are we now
• Game is on early development stage.
• We have the concept of the game well defined.
• We are currently working on improving initial locations of the game world.
Genre and game content
• Adventure – you, as Edmund, will be able to travel the world a lot. As we all know (probably) travelling in the medieval wasn’t safe. You will be able to get in trouble, you will be meeting various characters, you may try to find treasures and secrets.
• RPG – your character will have traits and skills to improve to succeed in the game world.
• Economy – you will have to make money to improve Edmunds life. You can earn money by farming, crafting, gathering trading or by any other way possible (yes – you can be bad…).
• Survival – life was hard in medieval. Food and water are just the basics you need to keep your eye on. You may need to fight for your life too.
Game Introduction
• You will start the game on your new farm – you will have to discover the rest of the world on your own.
• You will be able to meet new friends or enemies.
• You will have quests to complete and puzzles to solve.
Game story
• You start the game shortly after Edmund got married and moved to the run-down farm that was wedding gift from mother-in-law.
• In the beginning farm life is hard to Edmund as he never worked on the farm before. Edmund is not scared of hard work, but his goal is better life for him and his family.
• Edmund’s solution is to become one of the traders he often sees traveling through his village to the nearest town.
• While playing the game you will find out how far can Edmund go (in the world and in his life), who will he meet during his journey, what small and big secrets he will discover and how ill he tackles them.
Introduction to game characters
• Edmund – young, brave man. He likes adventures and dreams to travel. Not afraid of hard work. Has ambitious plans for his life. He just starts he new life with his beloved wife.
• Edmund’s wife – also young. Beautiful women. Her character is not fully revealed in the beginning. She loves Edmund a lot and supports him as much as she can in his plans. She can’t live without her mum who she always tries to keep close.
• Mother-in-law – not young anymore. Loves her daughter very much. Her love for her daughter often causes misery for Edmund.
Creators
• JuXa Games - we are a small team of two: a wife (G) and a husband (M). Edmund the Adventurer is the first game development project we are involved in. It is a bit of a new world for us to create a new world for you.

Hi, it’s Edmund here.
In the beginning of the game my life is rather simple. I look after the farm to provide for my family. I love my wife a lot. She is my treasure.

Sometimes my simple life gets a bit complicated by other members of the family……like my lovely mother-in-law.
She’s great…. sometimes.

But can be real pain mostly.

I don’t give up though – I focus on making our life better.
