I focus on building a strong technical foundation for your child, combining accurate technique and musical theory elements in
a fun and engaging environment. WHICH INSTRUMENTS ARE TAUGHT?
• Flute, clarinet, and saxophone. How Much Does It Cost?
• Lessons are changed at £7.25 each.
• Typically, there are 11 lessons per term (Autumn,
Spring, Summer) charged at £79.75 per term.
• Everyone must enroll for a minimum of 3 lessons
(offer for first term only): the first payment of £21.75 will be taken when lessons are scheduled. The remanding balance of £58 will then be due. HOW LONG ARE LESSONS?
• Lessons are given either individually or as part of a group depending on need.
• Lessons last from 15mins – 30 mins depending on number of children in the group. WHERE CAN I GET AN INSTRUMENT? Community Rental Scheme:
* This is subject to availability (pupil premium children will take priority when allocating available instruments)
* A range of beginner to intermediate instruments available to loan to pupils.
* Rental instruments cost £20 per term (£15 per term for Pupil Premium children).
* After six terms of rental, the instrument and accessories become yours for no extra cost
* If you cease lessons before this time, everything can be returned with no penalty. What’s included? o Instrument and case

WHICH INSTRUMENT IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?
• Benjamin Britten’s ‘Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra’ (available on YouTube) is a great place to start
CLARINET
* Smaller children may struggle due to its size.
• Mini clarinets are available to hire through our rental package (subject to availability).
• As your child grows, the mini clarinet is returned to us and replaced with a full- sized clarinet (no effect to the community rental contract length – 6 terms). SAXOPHONE
* Ideally need to be year 5/6 due to its size.
• Smaller/younger children can start on clarinet, and swap to the saxophone when they are big enough (no effect to the community rental contract length – 6 terms). FLUTE
* Smaller children may struggle due to its size.
• Curved head joints are available to hire through our rental package (subject to availability)
• As your child grows, we will swap it for a normal head joint with the curved head joint being returned.
