CLAIRE GOES SOLO IN DULVERTON
Following on from her success locally Claire Savill is going solo for the first time with her own Art Exhibition in Dulverton - opening today and running for two weeks.
Best known for her Exmoor landscapes and its wildlife, Claire's portfolio also includes contemporary impressionist work as a contrast to her more traditional work.
“My inspiration comes from everyday rural and urban life” she explains “which is why the majesty of Exmoor and its wildlife features so strongly.”
Claire uses oils, acrylics and watercolours to bring her creations to life and each medium brings a different character to her work.
“Watercolour is undoubtedly the most delicate as it brings subtle light and life to a landscape” Claire says “whereas oils add lustre and depth with acrylics introducing eye-catching metallic paints and visual texture.”
Claire's exhibition will also include her work for recent community projects commissioned by Dulverton Exmoor Horn, Dulverton Model Railway and Dulverton Players.
To find out how she does it or to commission a painting for a special occasion perhaps, you'll find Claire at her Easel and happy to chat during her Art Exhibition at the Guildhall Heritage Centre, Fore Street, Dulverton from Monday 25th March to Saturday 6 April 2013.
